Nugget A-5 Mandolin
This is the first mandolin I ever owned, and the one I still always play. It was made by Mike Kemnitzer in 1975, in return for helping him move, a fist full of ones, and a ham at Christmas. They cost a lot more now. The neck is big as a ball bat, and it's wide across the finger board. The one piece curly maple back comes from a leftover board from an old barn in southern Ohio. Nugget (Mike's nickname) calls his instruments Nuggets. You can see more Nugget mandos at www.mandolincafe.com.
